TOKYO -- Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is preparing to sell Tokyo-listed forklift unit Mitsubishi Logisnext, Nikkei learned Friday, as the group ramps up efforts to boost capital efficiency.

Both Mitsubishi Heavy and Logisnext have selected a financial adviser for the sale. Multiple investment funds have expressed an interest, and the companies are believed to be narrowing down which to grant exclusive negotiating rights.
