TOKYO -- NTT Docomo, one of the biggest mobile carriers in Japan, will follow rivals Rakuten Group and SoftBank in combining its core business with financing as the mobile phone market slows in the wake of government-led price cuts.
Docomo announced on Wednesday that it will enter the securities business by allying with Monex Group, a Japanese online finance company that will make its brokerage arm a Docomo consolidated subsidiary.
