TOKYO -- Orix has acquired Luluarq, a leading capsule toy retailer, the Japanese financial services group said Thursday, marking its first investment in the amusement sector in about two decades.

The deal is estimated at around 10 billion yen ($70 million). With the global business environment growing uncertain, Orix, which has operations that revolve around leasing, aims to secure profit by investing in fast-growing businesses focused on domestic demand.
