TOKYO -- Japanese drugmaker Otsuka Pharmaceutical has acquired U.S. women's health food company Bonafide Health for $425 million, its parent Otsuka Holdings announced on Friday, in a move to diversify its portfolio of women's health food products.
Otsuka Pharmaceutical's U.S. subsidiary Pharmavite, which handles health supplements such as "Nature Made," has acquired 100% ownership of Bonafide Health. The acquisition was completed as of Thursday U.S. time.
