TOKYO -- SG Holdings, which owns Japanese transporter Sagawa Express, said Friday it will acquire Taiwanese semiconductor logistics company Morrison Express Worldwide for $900 million, aiming to turn it into a wholly owned subsidiary in July.

As a freight forwarder, Morrison secures cargo space from airlines and shipping companies on behalf of consigners. It has strength in air transport of chips and electric machinery, operating 90 sites across the world including in Asia, the U.S. and Europe. It generated about $1 billion in revenue in 2024.
