SEOUL -- Korean Air Lines, South Korea's top carrier, said Thursday that it would merge with No. 2 player Asiana Airlines by the end of the year, following years of negotiations with regulators.
The European Commission, which had the last outstanding review, has approved Korean Air's acquisition of Asiana.
