TOKYO -- Mitsui & Co. will buy the logistics company that keeps the McDonald's Japan restaurant chain stocked with food and packaging, the Japanese trading house said Friday, as it moves to grow its cold chain business.

Mitsui will purchase all of Tokyo-based HAVI Supply Chain Solutions Japan from Chicago-based parent HAVI Group for an undisclosed amount. The transaction will close this fiscal year, which ends March 31.
