TOKYO -- Nippon Life Insurance plans to acquire Nichii Holdings, owner of Nichigakkan, Japan's largest nursing care provider, for about 210 billion yen ($1.4 billion), Nikkei has learned.
The Japanese insurer aims to diversify its sources of revenue by strengthening its life care business, believing it to be a good fit with its life insurance operations, and by expanding its customer base.
