TOKYO -- Sony Group announced on Thursday that it will acquire a 2.5% stake in Bandai Namco Holdings, which owns intellectual property such as the "Gundam" franchise, for approximately 68 billion yen ($470 million).
Sony possessed no Bandai stock as of March 31, according to its securities report.
