
TOKYO -- Tokyo Electric Power Co. Holdings is teaming up with U.S. chipmaker Intel and others in grid management in Asia and Africa, seeking new income abroad to fund its massive Fukushima cleanup project as demand shrinks at home.
Tepco subsidiary Tepco Power Grid will sign a memorandum of understanding with an Intel cybersecurity company, information technology group NTT Data, Toshiba and others as early as this month. The partners will also consider setting up a joint investment company.
