TotalEnergies allies with Japan oil company on solar power in Asia

French major and Eneos will develop 2 GW of capacity, targeting businesses

TOKYO -- France's TotalEnergies and Japanese energy group Eneos Holdings said Wednesday that they will join to sell solar-generated electricity to Asian businesses.

The partners intend to establish a 50-50 joint venture by the end of June. Its name, location and capitalization will be determined later.
