HANOI -- Masan Group will sell German tungsten producer H.C. Starck Holding to Japan's Mitsubishi Materials, the Vietnamese conglomerate said Thursday, shedding a noncore business as it concentrates on its consumer operations.

Masan High-Tech Materials (MHT) will sell 100% of H.C. Starck for $134 million. Masan and Mitsubishi Materials had reached a basic agreement on the deal in mid-May, without disclosing the purchase price.
