TOKYO -- Major Japanese companies like Fujitsu are moving their headquarters out of central Tokyo, aiming to downsize offices and reduce rent as pandemic-era remote work trends take root.

Fujitsu will move its headquarters from the Shiodome area of central Tokyo to several buildings in the nearby city of Kawasaki, Kanagawa prefecture, in 2024, the company said Friday.
