HONG KONG -- Recruitment of necessary workers is becoming difficult for companies operating in Hong Kong as a result of the city's political situation and COVID-19 restrictions, a string of surveys appear to indicate.

JETRO, Japan's trade promotion organization, conducted the most recent poll, from Jan. 3 to Jan. 7. In it, 37% of 251 Japanese companies in Hong Kong noted it was more difficult to hire locally than it had been a year earlier.
