LIMA, Peru -- The U.S. needs to rebuild a global economic strategy to maintain its economic leadership in the world, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said Thursday, as China's influence in Latin America grows.

"We've got a lot to do to get better, but I think it's important to keep the Western world together, including trade and economics," he said at the APEC CEO Summit held in Peru's capital, Lima.
