KOFU, Japan -- Japanese confectionery Chateraise is creating a recipe to boost production and sales in Indonesia, betting that the country's growing middle class will indulge its sweet tooth with the company's cakes and pastries.

Chateraise intends to support local cacao production and build a reliable chain for procurement and processing of the key ingredient for chocolate.
