VinFast unveils EV lineup at CES ahead of U.S. push

Vietnam company says it will set up manufacturing sites in America by 2024

VinFast shows off one of its electric vehicles at CES on Jan. 5. The company, the auto unit of top Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, plans to deliver EVs in the U.S. by the end of 2022.

LAS VEGAS, U.S. -- Vietnamese automaker VinFast unveiled five electric vehicles at CES 2022 as the company prepares to start sales in the U.S. and Europe this year.

VinFast, the auto unit of top Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, said it will start delivering two of the five electric vehicles, the VF 8 and VF 9, by the end of the year, with preorders for the two models to open on Wednesday.
