LAS VEGAS -- Alibaba unveiled a new AI-powered sourcing tool for business-to-business customers on Thursday, as the Chinese e-commerce company pushes to expand in the U.S. despite ongoing political tensions between Beijing and Washington.

Alibaba.com, the B2B arm under Alibaba Group Holding, said at its annual CoCreate conference in Las Vegas that it will roll out a new generative artificial intelligence agent to simplify the sourcing process for American buyers seeking suppliers in China and other countries.
