Baidu's stock rises as quarterly revenue beats expectations

NEW YORK -- Baidu shares closed 2.8% higher in Hong Kong on Tuesday after the Chinese search engine and technology giant reported higher-than-expected revenue for the third quarter.

Baidu's U.S.-listed shares were up around 2% midday here.
