How Chinese biggest tech companies handle data is under growing scrutiny by Beijing.

GUANGZHOU -- New Chinese regulations on how tech companies handle data will ban actions that regulators deem as undermining national security and violate user privacy, according to draft regulations.

The proposal released Sunday by the Cyberspace Administration of China calls for data security measures and quick action to deal with leaks.
