WASHINGTON -- TikTok is under growing pressure in the U.S., with reports of investigations by the Justice Department and FBI emerging before the CEO is scheduled to answer questions in Congress.

The Justice Department and the FBI have been investigating possible improper collection of personal data on American TikTok users, including two reporters, by employees of TikTok's Chinese parent company ByteDance, The New York Times and other media reported last week.
