Japanese chemical maker sees 'internet of things' driving need for more memory

Kohei Morikawa, president of Japan's Showa Denko, says his company has maxed out production of industrial gases for electronic parts.

TOKYO -- Electronics parts shipments have remained healthy since the second half of last year, and the recovery in the information technology field should endure, the president of Japanese chemical and material maker Showa Denko said in an interview.
