TOKYO -- Japanese engineering company Chiyoda is poised to build a liquefied natural gas plant in Indonesia as part of a multinational development project.
The order will likely be worth roughly 100 billion yen ($990 million) in all, including the portion to be taken on by a local construction company. Chiyoda is seen as receiving about half of that sum for handling design, materials procurement and its share of construction. This marks Chiyoda's first LNG plant order since March 2015.
