Air India to lose profitable ground services subsidiary

Proceeds from sale to help pay off slumping national carrier's $7.1bn debt

Air India has had little to celebrate this year, other than its welcoming to Ben Gurion International Airport in Lod, near Tel Aviv, in March 2018.

MUMBAI -- The government has come up with a plan to pay down some debt at financially strapped Air India -- auction off a ground services subsidiary to the private sector.
