Companies weigh investment opportunities amid 'friendshoring' push

HANOI -- A delegation of about 60 U.S. companies, including heavyweights like Boeing and Facebook parent Meta, has begun a visit to Vietnam, aiming to explore investment opportunities in a wide range of fields including semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

This year's delegation is believed to be the largest ever, surpassing last year's. Meetings with Vietnamese government and business officials are scheduled through Thursday.
