SHANGHAI -- Chinese e-commerce giant Meituan is expanding storage capacity by utilizing warehouses of retailers and manufacturers to accommodate shoppers who are increasingly taking advantage of instant deliveries.

Typically, instant delivery services -- made in as little as 30 to 60 minutes -- cover products stocked in store inventories. But service providers can accept orders only during the hours when those stores are open.
