TOKYO -- A majority of Japan's publicly traded companies saw their bottom lines improve in the April-December period, a Nikkei analysis has found, with domestically focused businesses in particular benefiting from higher prices and strong tourism.
About 61% of the approximately 270 companies on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Prime market that have published results for the period as of Wednesday reported a year-on-year increase in net profit.
