TOKYO -- Dai Nippon Printing will raise output of evaporation masks, a component vital to production of OLED panels, to take advantage of expected growth in demand for such panels for use in smartphones.
The company will invest 6 billion yen ($54.6 million) in stages through 2020 to add production and inspection equipment at its Mihara plant in Hiroshima Prefecture, ultimately tripling the site's evaporation mask capacity.
