Dalian Wanda to build 12bn yuan theme park in Shaanxi

Property major returns to lucrative business with CCP-themed facility in 2021

Disneyland Shanghai is Wanda's biggest rival. A number of theme park projects by both local and overseas companies are underway in China.

DALIAN, China -- Chinese commercial property developer Dalian Wanda Group is planning to open a 12 billion yuan ($1.76 billion) theme park in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province, in June 2021.

The Yan'an Wanda City will also offer a luxury hotel, restaurants and sport facilities including an ice rink.
