TAIPEI -- Former Sharp CEO Tai Jeng-wu is suing Foxconn and its founder Terry Gou, claiming he was not properly compensated for his performance as chief executive of the Japanese electronics company between 2016 and 2022, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the matter.

Tai, who worked at Foxconn for nearly 40 years and retired in 2022, brought the civil charges against Gou and the company, a key Apple and Nvidia supplier, in the New Taipei District Court last month, said four people familiar with the situation.
