TOKYO -- Premier golf club maker Honma Golf marked the next step in its recovery Wednesday with an exposition highlighting its push into clothing, part of the Hong Kong-listed company's effort to cultivate the mainland Chinese market, where it sees promise for growth.

Highly functional golf pants were the centerpiece of the Tokyo event. Utilizing material used in corsets, the trousers offer support to the leg, stabilizing the swing, according to the company.
