TOKYO -- Japan's JFE Engineering is venturing into road management in India, tapping extensive opportunities there as it faces an increasingly saturated home market.

Japanese companies handling infrastructure work in emerging economies typically do so through Tokyo's official development assistance program. JFE is exploring other avenues for overseas growth, including public-private partnerships.
