TOKYO -- Japanese personal care group Kao ended production of disposable diapers in China on Thursday, the company said, after losing market share to local rivals.
Production was discontinued at the Merries brand diaper plant in Hefei, Anhui province. A decision on the fate of the plant will be made in coordination with the local government.
