TOKYO -- Japanese beverage maker Kirin Holdings plans to begin selling health foods incorporating a proprietary postbiotic bacterial strain in Taiwan in 2025 to curb dependence on its mainstay beer business, Nikkei has learned.

Kirin is launching a product that incorporates Lactococcus lactis strain Plasma (LC-Plasma) -- a type of lactic acid bacterium -- developed with Australian health food maker Blackmores.
