Japan manufacturer to roll out new tractors, loaders under 5-year plan

OSAKA -- Japanese heavy machinery maker Kubota plans to spend 500 billion yen ($3.23 billion) over five years on research and development for new farm and construction equipment to be sold in India and North America.

The higher R&D investment will begin in 2026, Kubota President Yuichi Kitao told Nikkei in an interview. The total will be 25% above the amount initially planned for the five years through 2025.
