SEOUL -- South Korean conglomerate Lotte Group will bring the country's largest distribution center online by the end of January, cutting shipping times to cope with an increasingly competitive e-commerce market.

The company built a 50-meter-tall facility on 140,000 sq. meters in Jincheon, roughly at the center of South Korea, to sort shipments from manufacturers and forward them to distribution centers nationwide.
