TOKYO -- The Canadian-born chairwoman of McDonald's in Japan will resign for personal reasons on March 26 under plans announced Tuesday, wrapping up more than a decade in leadership posts at the fast-food giant here.
Sarah Casanova will step down as chairperson at McDonald's Holdings Co. (Japan) and operating subsidiary McDonald's Co. (Japan). A successor will not be named yet as both companies shift to a structure centered on holding company President and CEO Tamotsu Hiiro.
