MUMBAI -- Haunted by memories of a bitter feud with his brother in the wake of their father's death, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani has started what he hopes will be a clean, harmonious leadership transition at mammoth Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries.

The 65-year-old this week handed the reins at telecommunications subsidiary Reliance Jio Infocomm to his son Akash, while his daughter, Isha, is expected to take over as chair of India's largest retail and fashion company, Reliance Retail, with group insiders saying an announcement could come soon.
