Myanmar bank opens Thilawa economic zone's first branch

YANGON -- Myanmar's CB Bank opened the first branch ever established in one of the nation's special economic zones, in part to accommodate Japanese companies doing business there.

The branch in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone will offer comprehensive financial services including lending and money wiring. It also will provide a "Japan desk," to which CB Bank partner Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ will dispatch personnel.
