SHANGHAI -- Nippon Express will offer regular freight train shipping between China and Europe, as Beijing's Belt and Road infrastructure initiative accelerates the transfer of goods between the two markets.

The Japanese logistics company expects to launch the service after the Lunar New Year in February, starting with one or two round trips a month. It plans to work up to weekly round trips if the operation goes smoothly.
