Rakuten, Japan Post team to reduce failed delivery runs

E-commerce giant helps overstretched couriers to ensure service quality

TOKYO -- Japanese virtual mall operator Rakuten will work with Japan Post to tackle a problem helping to drive the country's courier industry toward the breaking point: Many online shoppers are not at home when parcels are delivered.
