MUMBAI -- Reliance Industries will leverage domestic demand to insulate its performance from global headwinds such as trade tariffs and global conflict, the Indian conglomerate said Friday, as its retail and internet units drove a rise in quarterly profit.

Led by Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani, the company reported a 2.4% rise on the year in consolidated net profit to 194.1 billion rupees ($2.3 billion) for the quarter ended March 31. Operating revenue grew 10% to 2.65 trillion rupees.
