Sony launches coding education toy in China

Subsidiary taps into growing desire to teach youngsters programming

TOKYO -- Computer programming is increasingly becoming part of school curricula across the world, and China, more than anywhere perhaps, has embraced teaching children how to code.

Luckily for the country's youngsters, they may be spared having to memorize rows and rows of dry code, thanks to a new educational tool developed by Sony Global Education -- a unit of electronics giant Sony.
