Sony to buy U.S. game developer Bungie in $3.6bn deal

PALO ALTO, U.S. -- Sony Interactive Entertainment said Monday that it will acquire Bungie, the U.S.-based creator of the Destiny and Halo first-person-shooter video games.

The $3.6 billion transaction is the latest megadeal in an industry where major players like Microsoft are racing to snap up popular titles and talent.
