Toto to set up high-tech toilets at Narita

TOKYO -- Toto plans to install its latest toilets at Narita Airport in April, hoping that foreigners will tell people about their experience when they get back home.

"Allowing the many foreigners visiting Japan to experience Washlet toilet seats with warm-water cleansing features will help to popularize the product," said President Madoka Kitamura.

"You can't know how good warm-water cleansing toilets are until you actually use one," said Kitamura.

The Japanese company is pinning its hopes on a surge in people traveling to the country from abroad. Kitamura said that foreigners have provided useful feedback, such as observations that the product's complexity makes it hard to operate.
