HAMAMATSU, Japan -- Yamaha MotorĀ is looking to revive its new-businesses segment by focusing on mobility services in emerging markets, as well as a forestry surveying venture using unmanned aircraft in Japan.

Yamaha is projected to take in 10 billion yen ($64 million) in revenue from new businesses this year, falling short of the 30 billion yen called for in the current medium-term business plan, which ends this year.
