TOKYO -- Japanese homebuilder Asahi Kasei will soon enter the thriving market of Texas and make the operation in the U.S. state a central part of the group's growth strategy, President Koshiro Kudo told Nikkei in an interview.

Asahi Kasei will move into the Texas housing market within the next three years, the period covered by the company's upcoming medium-term business plan.
