Komatsu resumes supplies of mining, construction parts in Ukraine

Caterpillar rival still has no plans to withdraw from Russia, president says

A Komatsu excavator. The Japanese company has halted exports to Russia and production in the country.

TOKYO -- Komatsu is once again supplying parts for construction and mining equipment to Ukrainian customers, which had been cut off after Russia invaded the country in February, the Japanese company's president said.

With Russian forces having pulled back from around Kyiv, along with other changes on the ground, the machinery maker has determined that it has safe transport routes to its distributors.
