YIXING, China -- Older adults in a city near Shanghai are moving into new residences designed and furnished by Panasonic in a community it planned and developed with local partner Yada International Holdings.

The Yada Panasonic Community, in Jiangsu province, offers 1,170 units, with prices starting at 3 million yuan (roughly $432,000). About half have been sold, according to the companies.
