Panasonic opens senior housing community in China

Built with Yada, units feature Japanese conglomerate's designs and appliances

About half of the Yada Panasonic Community's 1,170 units have been sold. 

YIXING, China -- Older adults in a city near Shanghai are moving into new residences designed and furnished by Panasonic in a community it planned and developed with local partner Yada International Holdings.

The Yada Panasonic Community, in Jiangsu province, offers 1,170 units, with prices starting at 3 million yuan (roughly $432,000). About half have been sold, according to the companies.
