KYOTO, Japan -- Japanese underwear maker Wacoal Holdings will close more stores in China while adding to its U.S. lineup as it struggles with weak sales of its mainstay high-end lingerie.

The company said at a quarterly earnings briefing in February that it will close around 20 stores in China, almost 10% of its locations in the country, within the year ending March, and will continue closing underperforming stores next fiscal year.
